The Father of the "American Revolution", Thomas Paine, is the author of the pamphlets Common Sense and American Crisis. These Pamphlets are said to greatly encourage the Patriots, encouraging colonists to fight for their “freedom”. Paine is responsible for the war against the Patriots, as his words triggered the Patriots to strive for independence. This certainly should be a regrettable act for Paine.

The colonies have always been claimed by Britain. Britain has always considered the colonies as part of “us”, but Paine thinks otherwise. Paine claims that the parent country, Great Britain, is acting extremely cruel against their “child”. Paine verbally attacked and shamed King George III in order to gain every bit of the colonists’ respect and determination for war. This is obvious evidence that Paine is an unintelligent and aggressive being. The King has mercy on the colonies. The King could demand the colonists even stricter rules, but Thomas Paine and the colonists weren't thankful enough. Great Britain and the Colonies could find a solution to fit their needs without going into a war and resulting in loss of men and economic value. Thomas Paine used the perfect words and facts to persuade the others into fighting to gain their independence. If they won their independence, they would create their own government system. If they manage to win their independence, Paine would be the one blamed for starting a fire that would light up a lamp but eventually burn out.
